MJ are about the message. Their stage performance is awesome, but their message is where it's at! Recently Manny was featured with a solo on a special MTV enhanced CD titled "Fight for your rights: Take A Stand against violence". The Backstreet Boys, Lauryn Hill, The Dave Matthews Band, Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Green Day, The Beastie Boys, Everclear, Q-tip and even Method Man are currently on the same album with Manny! Not only has the album gone Platinum with the US Government giving away 1,000,000 copies, the campaign won an Emmy Award. There are 5 Quicktime movies on the eCD. Manny & Joy both were actors in the development of one of the videos. It actually looks like a video game or a website. More info on this is available from MTV.com or TakeAStand.com. |

MJ were recently selected to represent the Latino music scene by a new clothing company titled "Legends & Heroes". Scott Collins, the president has informed us that"*NSync" represents pop boy bands, "Brian McNight" represents Male R&B. Recently Whitney Houston' staff wore "Heroes" clothing at a party she gave in NYC for her father. This company believes that MJ are "Legends & Heroes" in their own time for the lyrics and messages they proclaim in their music and has honored them for this reason. MJ will wear the new product line that is set for Jan. 2001 release, as they tour the nation! |
