Organized Chaos!Changing of clothes, mixed looks, fixing hair, all for a photo shoot.

An associate from a TV Network called early Friday morning requesting current head shots of Manny and Joy. (She had recently previewed MJ's videos & music and did not have any full size, traditional modeling shots.) The sun will be setting in forty five minutes providing just enough time to get the pictures we need. Joy is in make up getting sparkles, her eyelashes curled, and hair styled. Manny is in wardrobe getting orders by his mother over an intercom in Spanish. Now the fun begins! We rush out the door looking for a neutral back drop to start with. GG, their mother,

and I are chasing after them with hair spray, gel, mousse, and hair brushes.(Everything in the NYC area seems so up-"tempo" and quickly paced!)

We were dodging the speeding cars looking for different backgrounds. Manny and Joy had such stunning poses that people walking by stopped to watch! There were four sets of clothes changes. They started out wearing blue, then changed into a tan Cancun semiformal beach outfit, then into red, orange, and finally green camouflage combat wear (like from their concert). We made it just in time to catch the light so that it would complement their looks. We had just finished and arrived back here at the studio before a thunder storm crept up.

David Musial MJ's executive producer, is a multimedia producer. Having much experience in photography, he took the pictures of MJ. He took 70 some pictures on cream, gray, red, red orange, brown and blue backgrounds. (Sides of buildings to be specific, which make great backdrops if you place the talent far enough away so the buildings are out of focus!) You do not need a photo studio, just a creative eye and an understanding of lighting and lens focusing. In between shots was the most interesting. That was when the tension of rushing to beat the setting sun emerged. It's something to think about; to see how fast looks can change. Dan :-) Vote Here for the nexrt MJ CD vover!
