This fund raising walk-a-thon gathered at 11:00 AM in Battery Park, led by my friend Artie Regan, it commenced at 12:15 PM, walked by, stopped and reflected at Ground Zero at approximately 12:30 PM, and continued up the West End Highway to 10 th Ave to Lincoln Center and finished it's short 2-1/2 Hour journey at Central Park, near the "Tavern On The Green" in the "quiet" zone around 2:30 PM. His building was also destroyed on 9/11. He has remained optimitic and raises funds for charities related. My song "Brave New American Heroes", which I composed as I watched the towers fall, was performed my Manny & Joy Medina at the first event in 2002. I also donate time from Smart Trax to the "Camp Haze" for children who lost parents or loved ones on 9/11. |
